SLUtest
SLUtest represents a biomedical and procedural unit for research studies involving investigational medical devices and novel minor surgical procedures. SLUtest also provides investigators with efficiency performed protocol-driven procedures. The unit is equipped to perform a variety of outpatient research-related procedures such as stress physiology and metabolic testing; treadmill testing; ultrasound; echocardiogram; endoscopy; fluoroscopy; and biopsy. Since in some instances procedures may require conscious sedation, SLUtest research nurses are certified in conscious sedation. SLUtest facilities include fully equipped procedure/testing suits and holding/recovery room.
